Decal kits for your motorbike

Whether it's a large-cylinder motorbike or a simple small scooter, the kit remains one of the most admirable customizations to behold. Even applying them is, of course, possible, but requires a great deal of attention and time. However, there are a few instructions and tips on how not to get lost in the notion of customisation with motorbike decoration kits.

Stickers: the quick and easy decoration kits

Any brand of motorbike can be decorated, even motocross bikes. In fact, these are the decorations that are customizable. One of the simplest ways is to stick stickers. But what are they really for? Many motorbikes have scratches on the outside. And often owners feel that with the help of a few stickers, this will go unnoticed. This may be a valid reason, but in the opinion of a professional, the idea is less recommended. Except for the pleasure of the eyes, many motorbike fans, especially competitors, put these stickers on to make their partnership with the sponsoring company stand out. Besides, you can choose on which part to put your preferences: on the front and rear fenders or the left and right under fenders, on the fork guards, on the swing arms on both sides, on the air filters, on the side parts of the motorbike, or even on the number plate (you can also change them to titanium plates, for example). The kits you plan to use on your motorbike depend only on the criteria you are looking for.

How to choose the right sticker decoration type to use?

There are several ways of gluing stickers. Today, paint specialists are already able to carry out all your requests without the help of stickers, they are called "patterns". Indeed, they are not kits, since the stickers are authentic and, sometimes, original. Each type of sticker has its own way of sticking. There is dry gluing and wet gluing. Their use is simple but applicable with different conditions. That is to say, with dry gluing it is possible to apply the stickers directly to the clean (dust-free) and smooth prepared surface of the motorbike. Press the decal by sliding it carefully and remove the sticker cautiously from the backing film using the transfer film. Make sure that no folds are formed so as not to damage it. If, however, a few do form, correct the error by lightly scraping off the relevant corner. For wet bonding, the difference is the use of water, for which the action of water is indispensable. The advantage is that you can move the position of the sticker as many times as you like thanks to the prolonged adhesive reaction time. Many people think that sticker decoration kits are not durable, but, on the contrary, thanks to the ultraviolet protection, they can last up to ten years without losing the quality of the colours.

Other types of decal kits are available in addition to the stickers

Without changing the appearance of your motorbike, these types of kits allow you to decorate in order to connect colours, much like garlands. Speaking of garlands, many motorbike fans love the light kits that are placed under the rocker panels or, also, in place of light bulbs. And some kits even have to replace original parts such as spoilers, handles, studs, washers, brake levers, oil drain hoses, mirrors, plates, exhaust, etc. Many repair professionals say that kit parts are not only used to decorate your motorbike, but also to increase its performance. So, for a double benefit appearance/performance, what are you waiting for to go to a decorating kit shop? Don't hesitate to ask a specialist for advice in case of difficulty.
